William Barnes is a seasoned finance and accounting professional, lecturer, and administrator with extensive experience in financial reporting, auditing, and business finance. He holds an MPhil in Industrial Finance & Investment from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology (KNUST), an MBA in Finance from The International University Missouri, and is a certified member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

Since 2011, William has been a lecturer at Kumasi Technical University, where he specializes in Financial Accounting, Business Finance, Audit & Assurance, and Microfinance & Rural Banking. His commitment to education and financial literacy has made him a valuable mentor and academic leader, contributing to curriculum development and research in finance.

Before transitioning into academia, William accumulated significant industry experience in finance and administration. As a Finance Officer at Pizza Hut in London, he played a key role in financial reporting, budget analysis, and compliance. Before that, he served as Assistant Residential Manager at Ebonycare Ltd, overseeing administrative and financial operations while ensuring high standards of care for children. His expertise also extends to nonprofit financial management, having worked as an Accounts & Administrative Officer for CCFC in Ghana, where he was responsible for budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting.

Beyond his professional career, William has actively contributed to community service at Kumasi Technical University, serving as a Hall Master, Faculty Representative, and member of the Religious Affairs Board. He is also passionate about mentorship, financial planning, and youth development. In his leisure time, he enjoys reading, athletics, and wildlife documentaries.
